Local Government

 Local Government

The City of Dumas is a forward thinking government that appreciates the business community. Like most cities, they strive to maintain the local heritage while bringing positive change. The most recent example is the passing of the local Pool Bond that will provide, not just a pool, but a new and exciting Water Park to the community. The Dumas City Commission is comprised of 4 Commissioners and a Mayor. The city is classified as a Council-Manager form of government with City Manager Vincent DiPiazza at the helm. Dumas/Moore county has passed water bond/school bond/hospital district bond/pool bond/and storm drainage system bonds in the last fifteen years.  This should provide a good indicator to you as to the progressiveness of our community.
