Film & Media

Judd Nelson Lymari NadalThe unique and varied open landscape in and around Dumas, Texas has become a popular area for film and advertising productions. Our locale has produced documentaries, films, commercials and reality TV segments. The most recent projects include the filming of the independent film Kreep and locations for a Toyota ad campaign. The Dumas EDC is also currently working with a producer on the posterdevelopment of a family film set to begin Fall of 2016. We are soon to be recognized as a Texas Film Friendly Community through the Texas Film Commission and are able to provide and help obtain various local and state incentive programs. The economic impact of a production for our community is wonderful. The number of jobs, local revenues and recognition these productions provide justify the assistance that we provide. In addition, having the local knowledge and expertise of our office is invaluable in finding and securing locations, equipment and even workers. Our local reception to producers has been overwhelming and they still talk about the hospitality that we have provided!

Kreep FilmingDumas EDC can provide local incentives in the form of start-up assistance, office space, discounted lodging, secure equipment storage and pre-production scouting services. In addition, we can help with the process in obtaining assistance through the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program.  Contact us today to discuss your next film or media project or to request photos of potential locations!
