Located 45 miles north of Amarillo in the heart of the Texas
Panhandle, Moore County Hospital District (MCHD) in Dumas has a
tradition of sixty years of outstanding healthcare services and
strong fiscal health.
Under the umbrella of MCHD lies Memorial Hospital, a sixty-bed acute
care hospital and Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, which
offers sixty resident beds.
Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on
Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. MCHD is also designated
as a "Nurse Friendly" facility by the Texas Nurses Association.
The ER is designated as a Level IV in trauma service Area-A,
providing quality care to the trauma patients in the area. The EMS
Department provides Basic Life Support service with Mobile Intensive
Care capabilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our Laboratory Department is a full-service lab, using a hig-tech
chemistry analyzer and a talented staff that offers service 24
hours, seven days a week.
The Radiology Department offers MRI, 64-Slice CT, ultrasound and
nuclear medicine services, resulting in state-of-the-art diagnostics
for physicians. They utilize the PACS system, which provides
detailed filmless images.
Memorial Home Health has been recognized as one of the top 25% of
home health agencies nationally. Our outstanding Memorial Hospice
offers support to patients who are facing their final days of life.
